UCS C200 CIMC Keeps Rebooting

This has happened twice so far, where one of the CIMC in one of my C200's would start continually rebooting. It will do this for a couple of hours or so and then finally stop. Afterwards everything appears to be fine and I can't find anything in the logs about it.

Has anyone ever run across something like this. Currently it has happened on two different C200s in my environment.

Sean,

What is the CIMC firmware version ?

How do you verify that CIMC goes into continous reboot loop ?

- Padma

Firmware Version is 1.3 (2J)

I have SNMP enabled on the CIMC, which we are polling with a 3rd party application. During the two events in question where the CIMC was rebooting, we would see a Down Status followed by an UP Status, and finally SNMP reboot notification. These would come in about 5-7 minute cycles continuously for 2-3 hours.

Sean,

Please collect the CIMC show tech and open a TAC SR including approx date / time of the problem event and the SNMP messages.

Also, after collecting the logs, I would suggest you to upgrade to the latest firmware version ( 1.4.1c ) and monitor the server.
