Hello there,
This might be a dumb question but i need to ask it before making a mistake.
I have a UCS C210 M1 that needs to get more storage space; i see in de datasheet that it holds 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drives., but i want to know if it would work with a SATA2 Disk, regardless of it working at SATA speed.
My question is if the UCS C210 M1 would work with SATA2 disks.
Thanks in advance.

Jose,
Which RAID controller do you have in the system?
Embedded Intel ICH10R
LSI 1064E
MegaRAID 9200 Series

It seems to be a LSI Logic 1064 Serial Attached SCSI RAID Controller.

That controller should have no problem with SATA 2 disks. The controller supports both 1.5Gb/s and 3.0Gb/s speeds.

Hello, thanks a lot for your response. I wasn´t quite sure of my answer because i'm having second thoughts about it, so i took a picture of the storage details under the Inverntory section in the Config Utility. I´m not sure if it has both Embedded Intel 1064E and LSI Logic 1064, or if it has just the Embedded one.
I hope this pic could add more to know if it has the raid controller i mentioned or if it depends in which disk dock i connect the hard drives to.
Thanks in advance Robert.
