UCS C240 running ESXi 6.5 numerous "n/a" events in the System Event Logs (causes board failure message)

We are running 4 C240 UCS rack servers (not managed by UCS Manager) and each has vSphere 6.5U3 running. One of

the servers generates 5 "n/a" events every minute. I am at a loss on how to troubleshoot this. I know the error may be nothing to worry about I want to solve the issue so the System Board Error will go away. Any idea on where to start looking?

Hi Alan,

If possible, can you please share a screenshot of the fault?

Are you seeing any faults on CIMC or is it on the OS level only ?

Any downtime incurred due to this ?

Have you checked with the OS team on this?

Based on your problem description, i request you to check for the below two points

1. Please check if the symptoms match the ones in the below kb article. You can try the workaround https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/78191

2. Ensure that your CIMC firmware, server hardware and OS are cross-compatible, to ensure no communication gaps.
