Hi,
Just wondering how we would go about this if possible
UCS C3160 (VIC 1227) <--FCoe--> N5K-5010 (w FC Module N5K-M1404) <--FC--> Brocade 5100 <--FC--> FC Tape Library and Disk Arrays (IBMV7000/PureStorage)
We need to be able to make the C3160 with it's FCoE VIC Card boot from our PureStorage array and also access some luns on a FC IBM V7000 Array and some FC Tape Drives/Library
This is purely for a migration and will be changed eventually where the C3160 will plug into UCS FI's and our PureStorage via the FI's. But in the meantime I need to get data off tape and IBM V7000.
Any help would be great.
Cheers,
Garrick

Hi Garrick
This might be tricky; although if only for a migration time, it might be ok. why ?
N5k has to run in interop mode, connecting to Brocade, which is a pain.
I never tried to combine FC interop mode with FCoE ??

Cisco NX-OS software supports the following four interop modes
Mode 1— Standards-based interop mode that requires all other vendors in the fabric to be in interop mode.
Mode 2—Brocade native mode (Core PID 0).
Mode 3—Brocade native mode (Core PID 1).
Mode 4—McData native mode.
For information about configuring interop modes 2, 3, and 4, see the Cisco MDS 9000 Family Switch-to-Switch Interoperability Configuration Guide, available at the following location: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/storage/san_switches/mds9000/interoperability/guide/intopgd.html
