Upgrade ESXI Version from Hyperflex Connect

Hello there,

We would like to upgrade our ESXI version from Hyperflex Connect because we understand that it is recommended way to upgrade both hyperflex firmware and VMware ESXI version from Hyperflex connect. But, I have a little confusion about the upgrade process with Hyperflex connect. Once we started to upgrade, we have to import the bundles to hyperflex connect and run a test upgrade. After that the actual upgrade process will come. During the actual upgrade process, if we had enable DRS with Fully Automated Option on VMware, it said that Hyperflex connect will migrate automatically migrate the VMs to other host without having a VMs' service impact. Is it true that Hyperflex connect migrate the VMs with vMotion to other host during the upgrade?

Here is the link that I found;

Yes. VMs vMotion seamlessly between hosts with DRS enabled during the upgrade from Hyperflex Connect.

Correct, with some additional clarification: HX Connect does not vMotion VMs. It sends a “put host in maintenance mode” request to vCenter Server and vSphere DRS vMotions the VMs off.

We have some smaller HX clusters licensed with vSphere Remote Office Branch Office (ROBO) edition, which does not include DRS. After HX Connect sends the MM request to the VC, we have to manually vMotion VMs to other hosts.
