Adding additional direct attached iSCSI storage on different vlan to UCS

We are upgrading our storage device and need to connect a 2nd iSCSI device while using different vlans. The original device was not set up correctly as it used the same vlan for both A and B.

Is it possible to have another device directly connected using an appliance port with different vlans than the first device? I then need to make sure that my ESXi hosts can see both storage devices.

Thanks

Larry

I'm not sure I fully understand your current topology.

If you are not doing iSCSI boot from san, I would think you could simply modify your current vnic that carries iscsi traffic to allow/trunk your additional/new iSCSI vlan.  Then add an additional vmk iSCSI port bound with new vlan to the same vmnic.

Ideally, you would create an additional vnic, with just the new iSCSI vlan, and have the additional VMK iSCSI port bound to it's corresponding vmnic.
