Welcome to this Cisco Support Community Ask the Expert conversation. This is a continuation of the Live Webcast event providing additional opportunity to learn and ask questions about Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) B series Upgrade & Troubleshooting

Starting September 17th

Cisco® subject matter experts Varun Mehta and Anupam Asthana will focus on basics of Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System). With lots of companies adopting Cisco UCS, there is need to understand the UCS architecture and the complete firmware upgrade procedure which would help customers/partners to maintain and operate the UCS environment effectively.

Hi

Trivial question: Customer does a firmware upgrade; after the autoinstall infrastructure he does a autoinstall server, with a maintenance policy for ack in place.

He has therefore pending activities which require a ack for every blade.

Now there is a power failure in the datacenter ? what happens ? will the blade come up with the old version and the pending activities still exist ?

What are some of the issues or concerns that need to be checked from a MDS/ NPV perspective for FIs' before the upgrade?

There are no special considerations related to MDS .
