I got a b200 M5 that was in a cluster. I had to reinstall esxi 6.5 and now after reinstalling I cannot add it back into cluster. Keeps giving me this error.

I have other b200M5 in this cluster and they are admitted just fine.

any idea?

Double check the BIOS policy that is applied to the server in question.  There may be discrepancies between the policies set on each server.  If the BIOS policies are indeed identical, during the boot sequence, hit F2 to drop into BIOS on the server and check to make sure that the policy is applied properly and that the server is following it as it should.

Likely if VMware is throwing this error there is a missing configuration.

Thanks!

I found out that when i switch my service profile back to another service profile using fc boot from san

it can go back into cluster.

but when I use my iscsi boot from san service profile, it does not. any idea?

See previous statement.  The boot policy has no bearing on the error in question from what I can tell.  The BIOS policy and CPU config is what you need to analyze which can vary per service profile.

Thanks!
