WHAT IS THE PROBLEM EXACTLY? DO YOU SEE THE RAID CONTROLLER DURING POST? DOES IT CORRECTLY IDENTIFY THE TARGET VIRTUAL DRIVE YOU ARE ATTEMPTING TO BOOT TO?

Can you provide some screen captures of the process? What type of RAID controller did you purchase?

the problem exactly is to install esxi image with version 6.2 u1 or 6.2 u2 but the 2 ssd disks local in ucs not present to install esxi on it ( it says none ) (no disks)

yes i can see the raid controller at bios only not in cmic as it is built in raid controller

ESXi does not support the onboard/embedded controller.

See https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/c240m5-sff-specsheet.pdf page 24:

NOTE: Embedded software RAID is limited to Windows and Linux operating systems only. There is no VMWare support for embedded software RAID.

You have to use regular SAS raid controller, or use the drives attached to the local embedded controller in individual AHCI mode for Vmware products.

 Thanks,

Kirk...
