C3160 Direct connect support?

Hi I am having trouble finding anywhere that will give me a confirmed answer on this.

I would like to know if a C3160 server with a Vic 1227 supports direct connect mode into the FI's.

Hi Anthony,

If you reference the spec sheet below:

"At this time, the Cisco UCS C3160 server operates in standalone mode only. Cisco UCS integration is not supported."

This means that the C-series server can not be connected to the Fabric Interconnect. Here is a guide over C-Series Server integration:

"Cisco UCS Manager 2.2 supports an option to connect the C-Series Rack-Mount Server directly to the Fabric Interconnects. You do not need the Fabric Extenders. This option enables Cisco UCS Manager to manage the C-Series Rack-Mount Servers using a single cable for both management traffic and data traffic. "

Since integration is not supported this feature will not be available.
