Dear Support,
The current B200 M4 with 2 CPU and 16 16GB DIMM want to extend memory. Can I install only 4 32GB DIMM, not 8 16GB DIMM ?
Best Regards,
Vincent

Are you using RDIMM or LRDIMM.
If you have 16 DIMM modules of 16 GB right now and if you add 4 32 GB module it will make a total of 20 DIMM's which is not supported. The supported quantity for 2 CPU are 2,4,6,8,16,32 so there is no support for 20 DIMM module or in order words 10 DIMM's per CPU.
You options which you have is adding another 8 DIMM's of 32, 16 or 8 GB DIMM module (RDIMM) so that each channel can have a total of 12 DIMM module.
For better understanding please refer to the screenshot below and the specsheet for B 200 m4 blade page 46,47 and 48.
Hope this would help.
