Change boot policy

Andreas Linde

Hi, I'm planning to change the boot policy from SAN boot to local disk while decommissioning our old SAN storage. Can I change this in the Service Profile Template and reboot one server at a time to reinstall OS on it?

I want to be sure that the change of boot policy does not trigger a reboot of all servers at the same time (Maint policy is User Ack).

Greetings.

The change in boot policy will require the individual blade reboot acknowledgement.

So you should be able to adjust the template, but actual implementation will be per blade , in pending acknowledgements

If you have a B200M4 blades, do make sure you don't run into any issues related to https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCut61527/?reffering_site=dumpcr

Thanks,

Kirk...

Thanks Kirk, that was the answer I was hoping for. Will take extra precautions not to run into the bug you referred to.
