Change management to FI from CIMC

I have a c240 m4 and c220 m5 that are set up with cimc. I want to move those over to be managed by our FIs. What is the best process of doing this?

I have them connected to the FIs already but they are not showing up under servers. I assume I have to change them somewhere from self managed to managed.

Greetings.

Here's a list of high level actions:

  • Remove all nic cables except for 10Gb VIC connections that go to the FIs (one to each FI)
  • Make sure FI ports connected to servers are configured with 'server' role.
  • Via KVM crash cart, hit F8 during post time, and do CIMC reset to defaults (this causes CIMC to look for UCSM)
  • Assuming discovery completes, create service profiles.
  • If you have existing raid volumes, use local disk policy of 'any config'

Thanks,

Kirk...
