Hello,
I am working with a client with a Cisco C-460 M2 with VMware ESXi 5.0u1 planned for install. This server has two LOM 10Gbase-T ports. Can they run at 1Gbps? I ask b/c the client does not have 10Gbps switching in their DC, and we would like to run 4x1Gbps (the two 1Gbps LOM, plus the two 10Gbps LOM @ 1Gbps).
I believe this card is based on the Broadcom 57711. Most information I have seen about this card uses SFP+, not 10Gbase-T, so it is unclear if it is backwards compatible.
