Hey Mike,
Check and see if you have a policy that is placing blades into a server pool and what those qualifiers are. I believe that the updating template you are using is referencing a server pool and by policy unassigned blades are being attached to unassociated service profiles.
If that is the case you can alter which blades are being placed into the pool by modifying the policy or removing it from the updating template.
I'd be interested to hear back if this was the case.
