Delayed power up in UCS?

If a power circuit goes and comes back up, there is the risk of power up surge overloading the circuit. I heard on another tech forum that some modern servers have the ability to delay their power up. Is that the case with UCS chassis? And is it also possible for the blades within a chassis? Thank you.

That will depend if CIMC is enabled or not.

  1. In the CIMC, go to Compute > Power Policies tab > Power Restore Policy.
  2. Under Power Delay Value is an option to set from 0 to 240 seconds delay.
