Does UCSM support SMB v2 for authentication purposes?

Hello,

Hope everyone is doing fantastic!

I have a customer who wants to upgrade to Windows Server 2016, as far as I know SMB v1 is not installed by default in that  windows server release, however my customer has their environment running SMB v1 for UCSM authentication purposes over 3 years and he is concerned  about that once they do the upgrade to WS 2016 that the UCSM is not going to be able to handle SMBv2.

....

I tried to find Cisco Documentation about compatibility with this specific protocol, but I could not find something related about Authentication purposes,

Have you ever heard/observed scenarios by using SMBv2 for UCSM authentication purposes?

I would really appreciate all kind of help if possible,

Best Regards,

UCSM supports Radius, TACACs+, and LDAP/AD for authentication.

Please see https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/ucs-manager/GUI-User-Guides/Admin-Management/4-0/b_Cisco_UCS_Admin_Mgmt_Guide_4-0/b_Cisco_UCS_Admin_Mgmt_Guide_4-0_chapter_0100.html for the details.

SMB is a file sharing protocol.

Thanks,

Kirk...
