Hi folks,

I have successfully uploaded a new infra bundle firmware 2.2.(8a) to UCSM, but it was failed to list the downloaded firmware in Auto-Install when attempting to install Infra firmware.  It only show the existing firmware version in the dropdown box

I then tried to upgrade it through command line directly, it is still same.  here is the output:

has anyone encountered the same issue, and how did you fix it please?

I also rebooted both FI, but no luck.

the same infra image file which I used, was successfully upgraded on other pair of FI

Product Name: Cisco UCS 6248UP

Running firmware: 2.2(3c)

UCS-B /firmware # show download-task

This operation upgrades firmware on UCS Infrastructure Components
(UCS manager, Fabric Interconnects and IOMs).
Here is the checklist of things that are recommended before starting Auto-Install
(1) Review current critical/major faults
(2) Initiate a configuration backup
(3) Check if Management Interface Monitoring Policy is enabled
(4) Check if there is a pending Fabric Interconnect Reboot activitiy
(5) Ensure NTP is configured
Do you want to proceed? (yes/no):yes

Triggering Install-Infra with:

do you have enough space ?

did the download Task run successfully ?

list the packages in UCSM ? can you see it there ?

do you have enough space ? yes, deleted all unnecessary packages

did the download Task run successfully ? yes it shows download successfully, no error seen

list the packages in UCSM ? can you see it there ? yes i can see.

> only issue is that the target image is not available/showed in the dropdown box when trying to proceed infra upgrade in Auto-install

Do you use ntp server ? are the 2 FI's time wise in synch ?

Do you use the "Force" option ?

I would delete the 2.2.8 infra bundle, and then try one more time,  or try 2.2.7 to see if it is version dependent.

I deleted all of them, only 2.2.5a.A is in Downloaded Tasks, and I saw it Packages

It is not about force action, it is NOT available to choose the target version in "Auto-Install "and also in "Activate Firmware"

Did you try to download another version e.g. 2.2.7 and check, if the behaviour is the same ?

i tried, but no different...

Is this a productive environment or lab ?

2.2.3 is really a weird release !

If lab ? why not backup, then erase configuration and restore ?

it is fixed by cleaning up all existing packages

Can you please paste the output of "show system internal flash" from both the FI's ?
