Evening techies....
I am after a bit of advice... bare with me as I am firewall guy and only do UCS because of salesman....
I have upgraded a clients c220m3 rack server using a firmware policy and the controller is reports as an unknown version and I also cant connect to the virtual KVM.
I have 5 other rack servers that have been upgraded in the same way,
Has anyone come across this before? I have an FE going to site for me to check the Mgmt port is patched correctly, other than that I can't think what it could be.

I am assuming this is a UCSM integrated C220M3...
May be that the CIMC firmware upgrade did not complete.
The C220M3s have memleak issue prior to 2.03i cimc version, so you can get a variety of issues if cimc is not healthy.
Might be best to your your onsite person, gracefully power down the server,,, and then do a power plug pull for 30 seconds
This way your CIMC is fresh, and then see if upgrades will complete for all components.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried that and I can see the FSM task complete.
Is it worth downgrading and then attempting the task again?
The controller asks for manual a/c power cycle. Which we do and that error clears but still reports the controller version as UNKNOWN and I can't connect to the virtual KVM.
Thanks,
Mike
