For ESX 6.7 or 7.0 Boot from SAN or Local NVME SSD or M.2

What is Cisco's best practice when booting their blades with ESX 6.7 or 7.0?  Boot from SAN Local NVME, SSD, or M.2?  Are there any special considerations with regards to preference when it comes to UCS Profiles with regards to a better choice?

Thanks,

Pete

Boot from SAN is usually the most flexible (but takes more initial prep work) if you ever needed to replace gear, do hardware maintenance, etc.

The local boot options typically take less setup, but redundancy options vary (i.e. M.2 hardware raid, single NVMe drive)
