HDD status = Predicted failure

Hi

We had an alarm on an HDD. The alarm says: "Predicted Failure - Moderate Fault " so we did the RMA and replace that HDD for a new one. Nevertheless, the alarm still appears. Here is the image of the alarm, note that the state says online, the fault is false, and the online, is true.

All the HDD leds are in green.

It is an ucs c220 M3 and the firmware version is 1.5(3).

Have you ever saw something like this?

Greetings.

Try resetting the CIMC (admin, utilities), and see if the alerts remain after the CIMC is rebooted.

Probably wouldn't hurt to get the CIMC (and HDD) firmware updated to something more recent either ;)

Keep in mind that the raid rebuild can take a number of hours once the replacement drive has been inserted.

The raid volume/VD will still be degraded until the raid rebuild is complete.
