Hi Guys,

I wanted some help in better understanding of how the VLAN concept works in Cisco UCS.

I am asking this because although we can create VLAN in UCSM but where should I define on which port should this VLAN be applied ?

Is there any way this can be done using UI or XML api ?

Thanks

Hi,

All VLANs that are created will be assigned to the uplink ports. There is no possibility to have on the same Fabric Interconnect some VLANs on one uplink and other VLANs on another. As on the blade side, you choose which VLANs are assigned to a blade when you create the VNICs.

Bogdan
