Hyperflex Licenses

My hyperflex cluster shows evaluation period expired and cluster license not registered.

1.Will it have any performance impact if not renewed?

2. Is it a good practice to be in compliance?

Please give me some insight on the best practice for cluster to be in a heathy state.

The Hyperflex license docs cover these points (maybe indirectly):

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/hyperconverged_systems/HyperFlex_HX_DataPlatformSoftware/Installation_VMWare_ESXi/4_0/b_HyperFlexSystems_Installation_Guide_for_VMware_ESXi_4_0/b_HyperFlexSystems_Installation_Guide_for_VMware_ESXi_4_0_chapter_01...

No impact on features or functionality.
    Generates syslog message.
Generates an Out of Compliance alarm in the HX Connect UI at cluster level.

Note
The Out of Compliance state breaches the intellectual property EULA and the license
must be purchased/renewed in order to continue receiving support.

To answer your questions directly:

1] No, performance impact for *not* renewing Hyperflex license.

2] Yes, the EULA requires the cluster to be licensed.

Not sure what you are asking about regarding "healthy state".  Do maintenance on only one node at a time to make sure the cluster has enough resiliency.

HI,

Here is a link to the license SKU.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/hyperconverged_systems/HyperFlex_HX_DataPlatformSoftware/b_Cisco_HyperFlex_Systems_Ordering_and_Licensing_Guide/m_hx_product_information.html

For ordering and / or renew - I would suggest to reach out to your cisco account team or cisco partner for ordering information.

Thanks Steven .

Could you please guide me about the SKU of this license? Or how to renew it?
