Implementing QoS and ESXi

I am trying to figure out the proper configuration using QoS with the
following configuration.

vNICs

2 x Management (Fab-A/Fab-B)
     - ~10% 1GE Max
QoS Policy
     Name: ESXi-Mgmt
     Priority: Bronze
     Burst(Bytes): 0
     Rate(Kbps): 1000000
     Host Control: None
2 x VM Data (Fab-A/Fab-B)
     -30%
     QoS Policy
     Name: ESXi-VMData
     Priority: Best Effort
     Burst(Bytes): 10240
     Rate(Kbps): line-rate
     Host Control: none
2 x VMotion (Fab-A/Fab-B)
     -10%
     QoS Policy
     Name: ESXi-VMotion
     Priority: Silver
     Burst(Bytes): 10240
     Rate(Kbps): line-rate
     Host Control: none
2 x NFS (Fab-A/Fab-B)
     -10%
     QoS Policy
     Name: IP-Storage
     Priority: Gold
     Burst(Bytes): 10240
     Rate(Kbps): line-rate
     Host Control: none

vHBs

2 - 1 per fabric

I have also attached a pic of the QoS setup.

Is the 9216 in the MTU necessary?

Thanks

Hello,

A note about weight ( % ) . It does not limit the bandwidth but reserves % of bandwidth during congestion.

Regarding MTU, it depends upon the IO workload of your VMs.

If your environment can gain the performance benefit, please make sure to enable jumbo frame size end-to-end ( vmkernel interface to storage array port interface )
