Launching Virtual Media, Mapped, no CD?

Have 2008 R2 running on B200 M2 blades.

While the server/blade is up, "within the KVM, Launch Virtual Media / Find ISO image / select Mapped" but the CD isn't showing up on the Windows 2008R2 server like usual.

I believe this should work right?

Hi Craig,

Yes this should work. I just tested on a bare metal install of Win2K8 R2 and completed with no problems. See screenshots.

You can reset the KVM server as follows:

Right Click on the blade -> Recover Server -> Reset KVM Server

Let me know.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Craig:

I recently experienced a similar issue with 2008R2 and KVM Server access.

The problem was with the Java client that defaults an installation of x64 version(on 2008R2) which appears to be incompatible.  Installing an x86 version of Java yielded the expected KVM access.

Good luck!

Dan
