We have the clustered ucs domain and its showing the management interface is down.below checks i have done.

Able to ping the gateway from both Mgmt Interface A and B.

There is no packet loss between the Management interface and switch interface where FI A is connected.

Could you please tell us if you mean that "mgmt0" shows as down?  If not, please paste here the output for the error message or screenshot of the error.

The output the same below.but we are found this interface state flapping.

and below is monitoring policy configured.

     set mgmt-if-mon-policy ping-deadline 15
     set mgmt-if-mon-policy ping-requests 3
     set mgmt-if-mon-policy poll-interval 90

So you are saying that when you run the command "FI-BAL16-1-B(local-mgmt)# show mgmt-ip-debug", sometimes it does not show as running?

When you say it is flapping, does it mean that UCSM becomes unreachable for some time and then comes back up?

Please provide as much details about the issue as you can.

Hi

As per link below, this is the setting found in the "Management Interfaces Monitoring Policy" The default setting is it will try and ping the default gateway. If it cant ping the gateway it considers itself as down. Even if you are clearly connecting to it (possibly locally). This can either be disabled or change to another option such as "MII status or Ping ARP Targets for Ipv4 and Ipv6"

or of course make a gateway available.

Ive had this a few times when setting up new FlexPod environments which in some cases the GW is yet to be configured.

Hope this helps
