I saw this interesting blog by Colin Lynch ( ucsguru.com ) on monitoring UCS.  (http://ucsguru.com/2013/09/06/sciencelogic-enterprise-manager-7-em7-review/).

He used ScienceLogic EM7 to monitor a UCS environment.  What do you use? It woud be interesting to know if you chose a specific tool and why?

SolarWinds has UCS Monitoring built in, that is all I use.

Cisco provides a management pack for working with Microsoft's System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).  See http://developer.cisco.com/web/unifiedcomputing/systemcenter for all our integration tools for the Microsoft environment.  System Center is deployed in more IT shops than any other management package, so our integration makes it a good fit.  We have releases of the management pack for the most commonly deployed versions (2007 to 2012).  We are also about ready to release a management pack for the stand-alone C-series, so with a single tool customers will be able to monitor/manage both stand-alone and UCS servers.
