Is this a valid configuration:
UCS 2.1.2a, Ethernet EHM
Sp with 2 vnics, vnic0 fabric A and vnic1 fabric B
W2012 OS without Hyper-V; Team vnic 0 and 1: switch independent mode (FI doesn't support LACP), all adaptor active, loadbalancing address hash
My understanding: outgoing traffic is loadbalanced over the 2 vnics according to hash, incoming traffic uses only the primary interface, e.g. vnic0

Hello,
Loadbalancing address hash would cause problems. Use 'Hyper-v port' as the loadbalance method.
We had a similar conversation on this a couple of months back:

Please ignore the reference to the other thread. The answer is still the same - use 'Hyper-v port' as the loadbalance method.

Shankar

But I have plain Windows 2012, without Hyper-V ?

Sorry, I missed that point. You have to do active/standby only in that case (no load sharing possible).
So teaming mode is 'Switch independant' and choose a Standby adapter:

Thanks Shankar
It seems to be UCS specific; can you please give us some arguments, why switch independant cannot be used with all adaptors active ?
Must have something to do with EHM ?
