Hi, am looking at ordering new RAM modules for a UCS-C220-M3 server. RAM specific to that model is now EOSupport and Sale.
Which module is a suitable fit for this server?

Greetings.
A strategy for finding this kind of info is to search for the PID that you have along with "EOL".
This should find a link, https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/eos-eol-notice-c51-736891.html which contains the following:
Table 2. Product Part Numbers Affected by This Announcement
End-of-Sale Product Part Number |
Product Description |
Replacement Product Part Number |
Replacement Product Description |
Additional Information |
UCS-MR-1X082RZ-A |
8GB DDR3-1866-MHz RDIMM/PC3-14900/dual rank/x4/1.5v |
UCS-MR-1X162RZ-A |
16GB DDR3-1866-MHz RDIMM/PC3-14900/dual rank/x4/1.5v |
|
UCS-MR-1X082RZ-A= |
8GB DDR3-1866-MHz RDIMM/PC3-14900/dual rank/x4/1.5v |
UCS-MR-1X162RZ-A= |
16GB DDR3-1866-MHz RDIMM/PC3-14900/dual rank/x4/1.5v |
|
You will notice that there is no 8GB replacement, but are pointed to a compatible 16GB module.
Thanks,
Kirk...

Hi Kirk, thanks for that. I wanted to be sure. Our sales team procured a quote for these: UCS-MR-1X082RZA-RF
Is that compatible?

From the c220m3 spec sheet https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/c220m3-sff-specsheet.pdf, I see
Product ID (PID) PID Description Voltage Ranks /DIMM
UCS-MR-1X082RZ-A 8 GB DDR3-1866-MHz RDIMM/PC3-14900/2R/x4/1.5 1.5 V 2
Your referenced PID, UCS-MR-1X082RZA-RF, isn't a valid PID,,, but appears to be a reseller's own PID, that closely resembles one on the spec sheet.
I would ask the group you got the quote from to confirm that their PID is actually UCS-MR-1X082RZ-A
Thanks,
Kirk...

Thanks Kirk: UCS-MR-1X082RZA-RF from the reseller was actually compatible with the server :) Upgraded successfully.
Thanks for assisting.
