Storage FCoE direct connect in 1.4?

Hi all,

I see from previous threads that UCSM 1.4 should introduce support for directly attaching an FC storage array to the 6100s. What about FCoE? Will a storage array with a front-end FCoE card (the new Compellent series 40 controller in particular) be able to connect to the 6100s directly?

Hi Simon,

Yes in 1.4 Release we will be able to connect FCoE Targets to the Ethernet ports of the Fabric Interconnect (61XX) in FC Switching mode.
