System Board 0 SEL_FULLNESS---Upper fatal

A customer has a UCSC-C220-M3SBE

on       vsphere>Configuration>Health Status>other      I noticed an alert stating : System Board 0 SEL_FULLNESS---Upper fatal

What is the impact and how to fix this??!

Hi

Most likely this means that the SEL log file is filled up ! you can delete it manually or create a SEL policy to save and clear the log. 

It has no impact for the operation of the blade ! you just loose log information, because the buffer is full.

Hi Milad,

This is the System Event Log on the CIMC.  You can log into the CIMC via web browser (if it has been set up), and review and clear the log.  Button on bottom right side of screen clears log.  Sometimes you have to scroll down to see it.

To clear this in UCS System Manager go to Equipment -> Chassis -> Chassis (Number) -> Servers -> Choose Server.  Then in the workpane go to SEL Logs and click clear at the bottom.
