" isloating because of hte zone modes does not match the receive rjt from adjact switch. "  who can provide a solution for me ?

attachment dmage is screenshot for UCS.

In the service profile, I assume you created 2 vhba's; and this vhba's are by default in VSAN 1, which you have to change, according the layout I explained in

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/13294101/mds-9124-cannot-learn-one-wwn-ucs-blade-server

Don't get confused; your screenshot applies for the physical FC interface of the FI !

This has to do with the fact, that the UCS FC switch implementation is not 100% compatible with SAN-OS (eg. MDS).

Most likely you use a feature on one of your VSAN on the MDS which is not compliant.

Q. Did you configure all VSAN's on UCS, which exist on MDS

Q. Why are you using FC switch mode ?

Using FC Switch mode is used in environments, which are small, therefore don't want the cost of bying a MDS switch.

Advice: Use UCS in FC end host mode, and configure your MDS as NPIV. This setup is the default, used by 95+% of all UCS installations.

hi, Walter Dey :

according your advice, change to end_host mode, but when i login to FI 6120, execute the followong

comand , no display any ouput . could you help me again ? what's wrong with FI ?  at the MDS 9124 ,have already enable NPIV feature.

 ntcloud-mds9124# show feature

Q. You talk about UCS 6120, but your output above shows a 6248 ?

Q. do you have one MDS, or 2

your virtual interfaces are in VSAN 1, don't know your configuration, but most likely you have to change them to be in VSAN 101

hi, Walter Dey:

Q. You talk about UCS 6120, but your output above shows a 6248 ?

A:  just my faulty. actually it's FI 6248, just go to compute room to ensure again

Q. do you have one MDS, or 2

 A . only one MDS.

your virtual interfaces are in VSAN 1, don't know your configuration, but most likely you have to change them to be in VSAN 101

A:  how to change virtual interface . for FC port 1 at FI, Have already alter to VSAN 101.
