Hi All,
I do not have a VCP yet so will I be allowed at least to take the UCS test?
Does Cisco has a system such as they will allow us to take the UCS test but they will not certify us unless we are VCP.
Thanks,
Ismail

Hi Ismail
You can still take the test, and still qualify as both a Cisco Unified Computing Technology Design Specialist and a Cisco Unified Computing Technology Support Specialist without a VCP.
But if you are after Cisco Data Centre Unified Computing Support Specialist and the like then yes VCP is still a pre-req (I have heard that this may possibly be dropped in favour of a Cisco administered equivilent, but thats unsubstantiated)
Unfortunatley (as I found) just passing the VCP exam was not enough, but the VMware course is also a mandatory VMware requirement for VCP.
Good luck with it.

Colin
