Symptoms:

Slow system performance including slow or "laggy" keyboard, mouse and video.

Affected Systems:

Windows Server 2008 R2

Cause:

There is a know issue with the Intel 82576 driver included with Windows Server 2008 R2.  This issue is not vendor/platform specific.

Resolution:

Download and install the latest Interl 82576 driver from Inter's support website:

Is there a way to include these drivers in the installation of Windows instead of trying to install them after? It seems the latest drivers from Intel come in a self-extracting EXE.

Yes -  you can slipstream any after market drivers into the install .iso.

There's tonnes of online guides detailing how to do this.
