What is the switch port configuration?

Make sure it is set to trunk, since vlan 21 is tagged by ESXi.

Are you able to ping the default gateway from the VM?

thanks for your reply..

the port of switch is in access vlan port.

does it required to be trunk as i have assigned vlan 1 at esxi vswitch 1?

!

inter giga 0/5

switchport mode access

switchport access vlan 1

no shut

spanning tree portfast

Yes, if you are tagging on ESXi, the switch port needs to be trunk, and don't forget to allow the vlan.

Thanks for reply.

actually my EXPE in DMZ vlan 1 and it is connected to DMZ switch port 5 and i assigned vlan to virtual machine and still not pinging.

let me change the port to trunk and see if get the response from virtual machine.
