Hi
Our client have UCS-C210M2-VCD2. It contains 10 146Gb 15K disk RAID 5. 146Gb 15k disk from Cisco are in EoS...
Two of them indicate about a problem. Can we replace it with server supported 300Gb 15K disks?
can we use Dell 146Gb 15K disks?

Greetings.
Yes, you can swap in the larger capacity disks. The raid controller will simply allocate the required space of the drive (i.e. 146GB out of the 300 GB)
It is always a best practice to keep the overall all performance specs in line as much as possible (i.e. 6Gb, 15K rpm, etc)
A03-D300GA2 300 GB 6 Gb SAS 10K RPM SFF HDD SAS 300 GB
UCS-HDD300GI2F105 300 GB 6 Gb SAS 15K RPM SFF HDD SAS 300 GB <<<<< This one would most closely match your specs for the 146Gb drive.
You cannot use the Dell drives.
Thanks,
Kirk
