UCS C220 firmware BIOS update problems.

 am having an issue where my UCS server hangs on bootup at the "Configuring and testing Platform Hardware..."  I have followed the necessary steps to clear the CMOS , and then update bios with CIMC , USB , TFTP and CLI , always he show me "Completed Successfully" but the version BIOS has not changed ,

another information , in "inventory" "memory details"  he shows me that I have many mermory cards, but that's not true, I only have one

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Greetings.

From the CIMC, take a look at the SEL log, to see if it shows any components failing (i.e. DIMMs or Processor).

If the server is not getting past post, how are you updating the CIMC/BIOS with the HUU mounted ISO?

You might want to remove Proc #2, and DIMMs in Proc#2 dimm banks, along with all but DIMM in slot A1, to see if a hardware issue is causing the post stall.

If you are still under a support contract,  I would open a TAC case.

-i updated BIOS with recovery.cap not by HUU.iso mounted, i used getfw  

-in log i have CATERR_N: A catastrophic fault has occurred on one of the processors: Please check the processors' status. 

can I test with a single proc, to do the diagnosis?
