UCS C220 M3: 2012 Server R2 Freezes/Hangs

The OS installed fine, however, after several hours of sitting idle (overnight) it is frozen/hung. I have to do a hard reboot by holding the power button down for 10 seconds.

I'm new to the Cisco UCS products. Just hoping someone has seen the same thing and know what the fix is.

Thanks

Gene,

Could you please go to BIOS (F2 during boot up) and make sure the CPU C states are disabled? Those options are for power saving and I have seen how servers freeze like this cause the are not able to wake up after the enter the power save mode... Intel's limitation, I am not sure in this moment if they have fixed that but it will be worth it to give it a try.

Also:

*What is the CIMC and BIOS version that you are running on this server?

*Is this server integrated with UCSM or running standalone?
