UCS C3260 Uplinks

I have a C3260 with two server nodes. Each server node has two 40Gb uplinks ports. I have created 5 vNics for each server node. My northbound switch is two 10Gb fex attached to two Nexus 5548 switchs using enhanced VPC.

Since the 5548 are 10Gb switches and the C3260 is 40Gb I have attached them with a 4X10 Gb direct attach break out cable.

My question is if I attach more then one of the 4X10 cables on the fex side how does the C3260 handle this? I tried configuring the two ports on the fex as a port channel, but the port channel never comes up. There is no option on the C3260 on how to handle two uplinks from same port on the C3260 SIOC.

If i leave the ports configured independently they both come up, but that doesnt seem correct.

Hi slipherslipher

you can connect the breakout cable from C3260 to N2k in portchannel. Note that this has to be a static portchannel (mode on) instead of LACP (mode active).
