UCS HBA Card

Hello,

I am looking for installation guide of following HBA card for UCS Server, unfortunately i couldn't find.

N2XX-AEFCI05 Emulex LPe 12002 Dual Port 8 Gb Fibre Channel Part.

Can any body share the installation process ?

Is it hot swapable card ?

The product overview says it is hot-swap and hot-plug, but I would recommend against it.  Pretty simple installation - plug it into a PCIe x8 slot and you're ready to go.

Wondering if it require software or driver to install first in order to correctly detect by server ?

It depends on the OS you are installing on the server.  It is on the VMware HCL so it will likely be detected, but the driver should be updated after installation to the recommended version which you can find at this link: http://www.emulex.com/downloads/emulex/drivers/vmware/vmware-recommended-software-matrix/

Please confirm the UCS HCL based firmware and driver at http://www.cisco.com/web/techdoc/ucs/interoperability/matrix/matrix.html

The versions listed in the HCL tool have been tested by Cisco for support-ability.

I believe those cards were mostly sold with the UCS C200/C210 M2 series of servers, and probably will not show up on the HCL for the M3 or M4 rack servers.
