Partner would like to know the following:
Well, it's not clear till what extent are the monitoring capabilities same, bit better, or far better than in UCS Manager.
I just need to know whether UCS Central is able to provide a graph of the BW consumption for a LAN Uplink in Fabric Interconnect for the last week.
Is that possible?

UCS Central monitoring capabilities are based on UCS Manager but with several key differences.
1. UCS Manager stores bandwidth, temperature, fan speed, and power consumption statistics for 24 hours. UCS Central can store statistics for 14 days with the internal database. It also has the option to support an external database that isn't trimmed, although the built in reports only have been tested with one year's worth of data. UCS Central supports PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL as the external database.
2. UCS Manager shows most statistics at a granular level. UCS Central can show either the granular level of statistics or it can show aggregated statistics. For instance, it can show top bandwidth usage by Domain (Fabric Interconnect level), by Chassis within that domain, and by server.
With the built in custom reports, I know that it can select FI Ethernet or FI Fiber Channel ports, selectable by domain and custom date range, and include Transmit and Receive Traffic. If this doesn't provide the specific information that you are looking for, the data is also available in the backend SQL database that can be used with external reporting tools.
