UCS vEthernet ports error disabled

Hi,

My UCS FI are installed with Ver 2.2.1C. When I reload FI-A or FI-B my Service Profile vEth or vHBA are in an unknown state or error disabled. This is viewed in the Service Profile VIF Paths Tab.

I have to reset the IOM Module to clear the fault. The issue can be random. Out of 6 Chassis's 4 of them were affected.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

Ian.

Ian,

At a glance it could be related to https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCum72151/?reffering_site=dumpcr

this should be fixed in 2.2.1d

You might want to check with TAC.

Marcin,

I will upgrade to V2.2(1D) and re-test a failover.

Hi Ian

What is your motivation to reload FI ? is this just a test, to simulate the loss of a FI;

My question would be: is this also happening, if you diassociate / reassociate a SP ?

Hi,

The reload was to test the loss of a FI prior to going into the production environment. A disassociate/reassociate of a SP made no difference.

I plan to upgrade to V2.2(1D) and re-test again tomorrow.
