Upgrade to UCS 2.1(3a) stuck

Hello,

I'm relatively new to UCS, so I thought I'd learn by upgrading our lab UCS system from 2.1(1a) to 2.1(3a).  I first downloaded the firmware files to the FI's without any issues, and then I launched Firmware Auto Install.  Everything was going great until the VERY last step, and it's stuck there, at 94% complete.  When I look at FSM tab for each of the FI's, they show as being completed.  I also rebooted each FI, one-by-one, allowing the cluster to become healthy again before rebooting the next, but without any luck...still stuck at 94%.  Attached is a screenshot showing the upgrade status.

When I log into each FI, they both show version 2.1(3a), and cluster state is healthy.  So, it's as if the final Activate just didn't register back, or something.

Given both FI's are showing (within UCSM and CLI) the updated code revision for both running and startup, is the thing to do at this point to just power cycle BOTH of the FI's at the same time, with the thought that the FSM "state" will be cleared?   If not, what is the proper procedure to clear this?

Additionally, the FI's are both 6248's.

Thank you for whatever assistance you can provide.

Sincerely,

Luis

Hello Luis,

The problem is related to this bug CSCug77812 investigated under CSCuf03650 (Auto-Install for "Infrastructure" FSM not completed)

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCug77812

Symptom:

infrastructure auto-install hangs at %94 after all the components are upgraded

In this case, as a workaround, please try the auto install option again, but this time check the box "Force"

"Force" check box attempts the installation even if a previous attempt to install the selected version failed or was interrupted.{EDIT}
