2nd- How to performe the upgrade, I mean ... I know that there are a lot of guides eg https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/servers-unified-computing/ucs-manager/products-installation-guides-list.html, but I need some more summarized.

Thanks in advance!!

Hello,

Apart from hardware compatibility, you need to evaluate OS and SAN devices ( switches, arrays ) compatibility

I would suggest you to verify your environment against latest patch release of UCSM 2.2.8 series

You can perform the infra upgrade ( i.e UCSM FI / IOM NXOS ) via Auto-Install method.

For blades, you can perform the upgrade host firmware policy and reboot one at a time or in batches.

After the upgrade, make sure you upgrade the drivers within the OS.

Thanks

Padma

Thanks Padmanabhan!!

I guess for the currently hw, version 2.2(8i) is supported.

UCS 5108

FABRIC INTERCONECT – 6248UP

B200 M2 – 2.0(5C)

IO MODULE-2208XP – 2.0(5C)

ADAPTERS- M81KR

CPU- A01-X0102 X5670 2.93GHZ

I'll check the OS version and if there are some SAN devices.

Where could I found the OS upgrade drives? You told that I must upgrade the OS first!!

You would need to use the interop matrix to confirm your OS is supported, but yes, that combination should be fine.

The drivers can be downloaded from Cisco for the firmware bundle

Thank you Wesley!! sure about delay!!!
