We have updated the fnic driver to 184.108.40.206 and reset the blade per the article. While the driver update has improved loss of connectivity to LUNs, we're still experiencing performance degradation and provisioning of VMs is slow or times out. SAN processor and LUN activity appears normal (not high nor thrashing) and UCS is not experiencing any faults/warnings.
SAN: EMC CX4-240 with FLARE 30; Using Clariion open pathing and failover mode 4
UCS: UCSM 2.0(4a); 2 HBAs provisioned to service profiles; B200 M3 w/VIC1240 mezz;
VMware: ESX 4.1 Update 2; HBAs using VMW_SATP_ALUA_CX with VMW_PSP_FIXED path selection; fnic driver is 220.127.116.11
We seem to be in line with all compatibility lists, although there seems to be some argument out there regarding using FIXED or RR path selection.
