I noticed this kb article from vmware:

which states:
"UCS Manager with VM-FEX does not support the vCenter Server Appliance in any available release.
While the vCenter Server Appliance can manage vSphere 4.x hosts, Cisco Nexus 1000V support for VCSA starts with vSphere 5.0 hosts."
This doesn't seem to have been updated since 5.0 though. Is the vcsa 5.1 or 5.5 supported for vm-fex?
