where can i see the installed operating system in UCS

is there a location in UCS where i can see which OS is installed on the blades? I must not be looking in the correct location .

This would have to be user defined. UCS does not have any knowledge into the underlying OS that is running on it.

You can use the "User Label" feature in UCSM to assign OS name to service profiles so you can remember what is installed.

Isn't the CIMC able to determine underlying OS ? I would think that would translate into UCSM ?

Not that I am aware of, but if you have any reference documentation I will take a look. UCS is stateless in nature, so we don't typically care what is running underneath.

You can pull this information via Intersight, but not UCSM.
