Hi all,
I am attempting to boot a host over iSCSI but have run into a brick wall trying to get my host to boot after successfull install of the OS.
Without changing the service profile I am able to install and boot VMWare ESX fine. Windows just does not seem to boot.
I can see the iSCSI subsystem is working ok when I connect to the adapter:
SUNINT0001PB-A# connect adapter 4/5/1
adapter 4/5/1 # connect
adapter 4/5/1 (top):1# at
attach-fls attach-mcp
adapter 4/5/1 (top):1# attach-mcp
adapter 4/5/1 (mcp):1# is
iscsi_get_config iscsi_ping
adapter 4/5/1 (mcp):1# iscsi_get_config

Now it gets even stranger. As suspected the configuration is correct as I now have it booting into windows.
The strange part is, all was working ok until I applied all current updates, then it went into windows recovery mode and can't find my partition for recovery (only option I have is to reboot)
Have no idea what happened, so I re-installed. Re-installed ok, but the same problem as before, no boot volume found.
Re-installed again, but this time I released the windows boot media from the virtual CDROM drive while it was rebooting.
Windows booted sucessfully.
Very Strange.
