Hi everyone,

We're purchased new UCSC-C220-M5SX server running 2 separated CPUs and using 2 UCS-M2-240GB in back slot as local storage. After following embedded raid config and driver download in link, wewas successfully created raid 1 virtual driver.

During installation windows process server 2016 , we browsered folder driver which downloaded from cisco site "UCS SCU Windows 2016-x64 Driver package for UCS C-Series Servers". But can not installation can not find driver, so windows can not see virtual driver.

The same issue if we tried with redhat enterprise linux 7.6.

I wonder if M2 embedded raid support windows 2016 or RHEL 7.6 ? Anyone who successful in this case, please share us.

UCS Firmware Version 4.0(2f)

Greetings.

Please look through https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c/hw/C220M5/install/C220M5/C220M5_appendix_0100.html if you haven't already.

Step 1

Download the Cisco UCS C-Series drivers’ ISO, as described in Downloading the MegaSR Drivers.

Step 2

Prepare the drivers on a USB thumb drive:

  1. Burn the ISO image to a disk.

  2. Browse the contents of the drivers folders to the location of the embedded MegaRAID drivers: /<OS>/Storage/Intel/C600-M5/

  3. Expand the Zip file, which contains the folder with the MegaSR driver files.

  4. Copy the expanded folder to a USB thumb drive.
