On a 6500 or 4500, if you set an uplink interface to "routed" and is address is 10.10.1.1/24, can any of the other "switched" ports on the box be on the same subnet (l want to set a group of switched ports to be on the 10.10.1.0/24 network and bridge...

We have approximately 250 routers across the USA, and all these routers were configured with no auto-summary (disabled). My question is, what could cause the auto-summary to be enabled without someone manually enabling auto-summary.
